Our summer trip was to Illinois and Iowa to visit family!
My Grandpa lives in Ill. and Mike's parents & brother live in IA.
We had originally planned to drive down to Ill. along with my mom to visit my Grandpa and then our family would head over to IA for a couple days. Well, our plans sort of changed when my Grandpa (who will be 92 yrs old on July 25th) fell and broke his hip. The new plan was for Addie & I to drive down with my sister, one of her boys and my mom a couple of days earlier than planned so that we'd be there before he had surgery! Then a few days later Mike drove down with my brother-in-law and their other boy!

And for my Grandpa...he came through surgery like a champ and is currently doing some rehab and should be back at home in a couple weeks!
